• Kanin - ski resort
- The only ski resort in Slovenia that extends above 2000m.
- 2 km from the centre of Bovec serviced by regular ski
buses from outside the apartment. - Altitude 1600-2300m with an excellent snow record the season lasts from December until early May.
- 17km of ski pistes (4km expert, 6km intermediate, 7km beginners).
- 20 km of cross country pistes.
- Off piste skiing is an option.
- Development underway (completion for 2009/2010 season) to connect the resort of Kanin to Sella Nevea (1140-1850m) in Italy. This will offer access to an additional 23km of ski pistes and transform Kanin into one of the biggest ski resorts in Slovenia.
- The views from the mountain summit are spectacular. On a clear day you can see all the way to the Adriatic coastline.
Facilities on the slopes include ski and boot rental, ski school, restaurants and bars. The stop for the free ski-bus is right next to the apartment. Bovec also has easy accessibility to other ski resorts, most notably Kranjska Gora and Nassfeld (in Austria).

Other winter activities include sledging, ice skating, dog sledging or snow shoeing.
